It’s ON Kraft Hockeyville Elliot Lake 2024
#KraftHockeyville #elliotlake
Elliot Lake has not only lost it’s mall, theatre, and swimming pool over the last several years due to unsafe structures, at the start of the season in 2023, after the first home opener for our Elliot Lake Vikings… Junior A team with a packed barn, our only arena was closed due to unsafe conditions.
Our community needs these funds to help with repairs, to help get our children, adults and seniors back to a place we love. This is for our physical health, our social well-being and overall mental health. Everyone should have a safe place to go, to allow us to come together as a community.
The staff at the East District CAS office CHALLENGE YOU to register and vote for Elliot Lake. Accept our challenge Ontario Provincial Police – North East Region, Anishinabek Police Service, Algoma Family Services, THRIVE Child Development Centre and Sault Ste. Marie District staff at Children's Aid Society of Algoma.
To vote for Elliot Lake CAS, you must be registered at the link below. Voting opens on March 29th and is unlimited. Anyone 14 and older can vote (with parental permission).

So many people tell me they feel the nudge toward foster care. But not right now. Maybe later. When their kids are grown and gone. Or at least a little bit older.
And please, before fostering, do consider everything.
Your kids.
Their ages.
Their safety.
Your space.
… Your capacity.
But also, consider…
How your kids might be the very best little welcomers and friends.
That new kids will probably feel more comfortable playing with your kids than with you.
That your own little ones might be enough to show the new little ones that you’re safe.
How this may open your kids eyes and show them the world is much bigger than they think.
That this might shape your children’s view of family and ministry for the better.
With all things considered, your answer might still be, “no, not right now.” But maybe, it will be a yes. ❤️
